about

Faith Action for Nature is a project encouraging churches in Scotland to engage with nature, and manage their grounds for wildlife.

The project is a partnership between RSPB Scotland, Eco Congregation Scotland, the Church of Scotland, and the Scottish Episcopal Church. Resources are created by Earthbound Ventures, in consultation with A Rocha.

The pilot

Faith Action for Nature is running as a one year pilot project, testing ways of working between churches and conservation agencies. Churches will be partnered with local RSPB reserves, gain access to expert advice, and receive resources to integrate wildlife care into the life of the church.

Background

Discussions between the key partners began several years ago, with a regular meetings and shared news. The project naturally evolved out of a mutual desire to work together, and to see churches engaged more in conservation.
